Eyelids getting heavier for each tick of the clock
Body’s begging for at least some moments’ rest
Restless days and sleepless nights I couldn’t anymore count
At last my body is about to give up
In front I see a mountain of tasks
Honestly addicted to my work I’m actually glad
But with no idea of where and how to start
Even my heart is faltering and my mind is with doubt
The tons of work are taking a toll on me
Until when can my body take any more abuse
Even it’s what I wanted there should be a limit
To how much I can do in just one sitting
Taken for granted may be the term “rest”
But on the edge of my strength, I pray for some
For I’ll be dying without even a little
I’ve worked so hard to deserve one
